Get a Ryanair Discount with RevPoints Gift Cards

Revolut lets you exchange RevPoints for a Ryanair gift card directly in the app. The card applies automatically to your next Ryanair purchase — no promo codes, no vouchers, no extra steps. You pay with your Revolut card, and the gift card amount comes back to your balance.

Here is how it works, what it costs, and what to watch for.

What the Ryanair RevPoints Gift Card Offers

The Ryanair discount card is an auto-applied gift card which you can get right in the Revolut app. This means four things:

No code needed. The card applies automatically to all transactions with Ryanair. You will not receive a code to copy or enter at checkout.

Applied after purchase. You book your flight on ryanair.com and pay with your Revolut card as usual. After the transaction, the gift card amount is added back to your Revolut balance.

For personal use only. The card is linked to your account. You cannot transfer it or share it with someone else.

The rate is consistent. A short-haul Ryanair flight within Europe often costs between £/€20 and £/€60. A £/€25 card (3,500 points) or a £/€50 card (7,000 points) can cover a meaningful share of that fare.

The offer headline reads "Up to 100% off with points," which means you can cover the full cost of a booking if you have enough points — though in practice most users will cover part of it

RevPoints: The Essentials

RevPoints is Revolut's loyalty programme which transforms ordinary transactions and everyday spending into opportunities for savings and perks. Every time you pay with your Revolut card, you earn points. The earning rate depends on your plan:

  • Standard and Plus: 1 point per £/€10 spent
  • Premium: 1 point per £/€4 spent
  • Metal: 1 point per £/€2 spent
  • Ultra: 1 point per £/€1 spent

You can also earn points through spare change round-ups (the app rounds up each purchase to the nearest whole number and converts the difference into points), in-app challenges, Revolut Pay purchases (which give double points), and bookings through Stays and Experiences. Once earned, points are valid for 3 years.

A Practical Example

Say you are on a Metal plan and spend around £/€2,000 per month through your Revolut card. Metal earns 1 point per £/€2 spent, so that is 1,000 points a month, or 6,000 in six months — from card spending alone, before spare change round-ups or in-app challenges.

Six months of ordinary spending gives you enough for a £/€25 Ryanair gift card plus a €10 one, with a few points left over. On Ultra (1 point per £/€1), the same spending produces 12,000 points in six months — enough for a £/€50 card plus £/€25 and £/€10 ones, with some points to spare.

Even on Standard (1 point per £/€10), a year of regular spending at £/€1,500 per month yields about 1,800 points. That is a £/€10 Ryanair card — a modest discount, but one that costs you nothing beyond spending you already do.

How to Redeem RevPoints for Ryanair Gift Cards

The process takes about a minute:

  1. Open the Revolut app
  2. Tap ‘RevPoints’ on the bottom menu
  3. Select ‘Gift Cards’
  4. Find ‘Ryanair’ and tap it
  5. Pick the amount of RevPoints to exchange
  6. Tap ‘Redeem’

The card is now active. When you next book a Ryanair flight and pay with your Revolut card, the gift card amount is credited back to your account automatically.

To view your active cards at any time: RevPoints → Gift Cards → ‘My Cards’ (top right corner).

What to Know Before You Redeem

You cannot undo it. Ryanair gift cards cannot be exchanged or refunded once purchased. Choose your amount carefully.

Currency matters. The auto-applied card works when you pay in the same currency as the card. If you book a Ryanair flight priced in euros, check whether a euro-denominated card is available in your app — it depends on your country of registration.

The card expires. Auto-applied gift cards are valid for one year from the day you redeem them. If you redeem a card in February, you have until the following February to use it. Do not redeem it unless you expect to book a Ryanair flight within that window.

RevPoints also expire. Points are valid for three years after you earn them. The app flags points expiring within 90 days. If your points are approaching their deadline and you fly Ryanair even occasionally, converting them to a Ryanair card is a sensible way to preserve their value.

Ryanair Gift Card vs. Airline Miles

RevPoints can also convert 1:1 into airline miles with Flying Blue (KLM, Air France) or Avios (British Airways, Iberia). For long-haul or business-class flights, miles often deliver more value per point.

But Ryanair does not participate in those mile programmes. If you fly Ryanair — and many people in Europe do, regularly — the gift card is the only way to apply your RevPoints toward those flights. That makes the card a distinct option rather than a lesser one.

When the Ryanair Card Makes Sense

The card suits a specific situation well: you fly Ryanair at least once a year, you have RevPoints accumulating from everyday spending, and you want a simple discount without learning the mechanics of airline loyalty programmes.

It also works as a safety net for expiring points. Rather than lose points that are nearing their three-year deadline, a Ryanair card converts them into a flight discount you can use within the next twelve months.

Value check — and the Wizz Air question

Ryanair gift cards redeem at about 0.7p per point (£100 = 14,000 points) — decent for a guaranteed discount on an airline with no loyalty programme to transfer into. Since Ryanair sells one-way fares from ~£15–£30, even a £10 card (1,400 points) meaningfully cuts a short-haul fare.

Asked about Wizz Air? Same situation: Wizz Air is not a RevPoints transfer partner either — there is no points-to-Wizz route. For Wizz flights, redeem points as a discount at checkout with Revolut Pay where available, or take gift cards for airlines that offer them (like Ryanair on this page).
