RevPoints 2026 Football Challenge: finish your 48 payments

If you picked a 2026 World Cup winner in your Revolut app between 2 and 10 June, you are in the challenge. To unlock your RevPoints reward, make 48 genuine card payments between 11 June and 19 July 2026 — roughly one or two payments a day if you are starting late.

On top of the baseline reward, a shared pool of 80,000,000 bonus RevPoints is allocated first-come, first-served by the moment you complete your 48th qualifying payment — finishing sooner beats finishing on deadline day. The challenge runs in the UK, Ireland and 22 other European markets, plus Brazil and Mexico.

Entries closed 10 June, so it cannot be joined now. Genuine purchases only — Revolut's terms exclude manipulated or refund-abused transactions. Source: Revolut's official RevPoints 2026 Football Challenge terms. Last verified: 8 July 2026.

Optimize Your Plan Tier
Your Revolut subscription level directly determines earning velocity. Monthly spending of €/£400 generates vastly different returns across tiers:
  • Standard/Plus: 40 points monthly (480 annually)
  • Premium: 100 points monthly (1,200 annually)
  • Metal: 200 points monthly (2,400 annually)
  • Ultra: 400 points monthly (4,800 annually)
And don’t forget that beyond earning rates, plan upgrades deliver immediate bonus injections: 1,500 points for Plus, 2,500 for Premium, 5,000 for Metal, and 10,000 for Ultra (when spending £2,000+ within three months). These signup bonuses alone can offset months of subscription costs.
Consolidate Spending on Your Revolut Card
The simplest acceleration strategy requires zero additional spending — just routing existing expenses through your Revolut card instead of alternatives.
Review your monthly outflows: groceries, fuel, dining, subscriptions, utilities (where eligible), insurance premiums, and online purchases. Every transaction currently hitting other payment methods represents missed earning opportunities. Redirect these to Revolut, and your monthly point accumulation multiplies without increasing actual expenditure.
A typical household managing €/£1,500 in monthly eligible spending through a Metal plan generates 750 points monthly — 9,000 annually. That's sufficient for a short-haul roundtrip flight in miles or substantial hotel discounts, earned simply by consolidating payment methods.
Claim Your Welcome Bonus
New users receive 3,000 RevPoints after completing 150 eligible transactions. This welcome bonus alone equals 3,000 airline miles or up to €/£60 in travel discounts.
Reaching 150 transactions sounds daunting but accumulates naturally over 2-3 months for average users. Every grocery run, fuel fill-up, subscription payment, and online purchase counts toward the threshold. Simply using Revolut as your primary payment method triggers the bonus automatically.
Activate and Optimize Spare Change
Spare Change transforms transaction remnants into meaningful balances through automated round-ups. Every purchase rounds to the nearest pound, with the difference converted to points at 50 points per €/£1.
The multiplier feature dramatically amplifies accumulation. Standard x1 rounds up modestly; x5 or x10 accelerates point generation substantially. Higher multipliers require larger cash contributions, but for users comfortable with automated savings mechanisms, aggressive multipliers build balances rapidly.
Someone making 50 monthly transactions averaging £0.50 round-ups sees:
Exploit Partner Retailer Multipliers
Standard card spending delivers baseline returns. Partner retailers operating through Revolut's platform offer dramatically accelerated rates up to 20 points per €/£2 spent — a 10x multiplier on Standard plans. Fashion retailers, electronics vendors, and lifestyle brands regularly offer 5x boosts.
If your intended merchant appears with bonus earning rates, routing the transaction through Revolut's platform rather than directly can multiply returns without additional cost. This strategy works particularly well for planned big-ticket purchases where you'd buy anyway — simply channel the transaction through the highest-earning available path.
Browse the participating merchant list within your Revolut app under the "Shop with Revolut Pay" section. The interface displays each brand's current earn rate, helping you prioritize purchases with merchants offering the strongest returns

New for 2026: Earn 10x RevPoints on Uber and Lime Rides

Since June 2026, Revolut and Uber run a loyalty partnership across 25 UK and European markets: pay for Uber rides or Lime bike and scooter bookings with your Revolut card inside the Uber app and you earn 10x RevPoints on that spend — ten times your plan's base rate, from 1 point per £1 on Standard up to 10 points per £1 on Ultra. There is no announced end date.

Three eligibility rules trip people up: you must have opted into RevPoints in your Revolut app first; the ride must be paid with a Revolut card saved as the payment method inside the Uber app (not Apple Pay on top); and Lime rides only count when booked through the Uber app, not the Lime app.

Worked example: £120 a month on Uber rides earns roughly 7,200 RevPoints a year on Metal — about £50 as gift cards or £72–£144 via airline miles. The same spend earns 1,440 points a year on Standard and 14,400 on Ultra.

Double-Dip with Revolut Stays
Hotel bookings through Revolut Stays automatically earn 2x the standard rate. Someone on a Metal plan booking €/£200 accommodation earns 200 points (versus 100 through normal card spending).
With over 3.6 million properties across 200+ locations, Revolut Stays competes directly with booking platforms you're likely using anyway. Before confirming reservations elsewhere, compare Revolut Stays pricing. If rates match competitors and you're already accumulating RevPoints, the 2x earning bonus provides tangible additional value at zero extra cost.

Break-even cheat sheet — monthly spend needed for RevPoints alone to cover each plan's fee (points at 1p each; roughly half the spend if you redeem at 2p via airline miles):

Plus — £3.99/month at 1 point per £10: break-even is £3,990/month at 1p per point, or £1,995/month at 2p.

Premium — £7.99/month at 1 point per £4: break-even is £3,196/month at 1p per point, or £1,598/month at 2p.

Metal — £14.99/month at 1 point per £2: break-even is £2,998/month at 1p per point, or £1,499/month at 2p.

Ultra — £55.00/month (intro price) at 1 point per £1: break-even is £5,500/month at 1p per point, or £2,750/month at 2p.

Points value only — paid plans also include insurance, FX allowances and other perks that lower the real break-even. UK prices; some EEA markets saw plan prices rise around 10–12% in July 2026 — check your market in-app. Last verified: 8 July 2026.

The Bottom Line
Set realistic expectations about RevPoints earning potential. Accumulating 50,000-100,000+ points annually — sufficient for multiple international flights or substantial hotel stays — is achievable, but demands consistent high-volume spending. Someone generating these balances typically maintains
€/£3,000-5,000+ monthly eligible transactions.
RevPoints function best as a multiplier for existing spending patterns rather than a budget optimization tool. The program rewards active spenders consolidating existing expenditure through Revolut, not individuals stretching budgets to chase points.
Calculate your realistic monthly spending across all eligible categories, multiply by your plan's earning rate, then project annual accumulation. Compare this figure against redemption targets you'd actually use. If the mathematics don't align with meaningful rewards within reasonable timeframes, RevPoints may deliver modest supplementary value rather than transformative returns — and that's a perfectly valid outcome.
