RevPoints not showing up? The 7 causes to check, in order
Last verified: 18 July 2026
Missing RevPoints usually trace to one of the seven causes below. Work down the list in the order shown — the early items are the quickest to rule out — before contacting support.
1. You're not opted in
RevPoints is a separate opt-in inside the Revolut app (for users 18+) — holding an account isn't enough. If you never activated the programme, nothing earns. Start with our programme guide if you're new.
2. The transaction hasn't settled yet
Points are awarded when a card transaction settles, not at the moment you pay — the pending charge you see immediately isn't the settled one. Points typically appear once the transaction settles, which can take a few days. Our eligible-transaction guide covers settlement in detail.
3. The purchase wasn't eligible
Some payment types never earn points. The full eligibility guide walks through the real-world scenarios people ask about most — tax payments, parking, paying through intermediary cards and wallets — and whether each one earns.
4. A Shops boost that didn't track
Boosted Shops rates need the brand's offer activated in the app first — and for online offers you must shop through the app's link. Activating the offer but then buying directly on the brand's own site misses the boost. Rates also change without notice; check the current rate on our Shops index and in-app.
5. An Uber ride that didn't earn 10x
The Uber boost requires a Revolut card saved as the payment method inside the Uber app — paying through Apple Pay with a Revolut card underneath doesn't count, and Lime rides only qualify when booked through the Uber app. Full detail in the Uber & Lime guide.
6. Spare Change round-ups you expected
Spare Change round-ups are a separate opt-in from RevPoints itself — enabling one doesn't enable the other. If round-up points never appear, check that Spare Change is switched on in the app.
7. The balance moved for a reason you forgot
Two accounting quirks look like vanishing points: purchased points are redeemed first when you spend, and points expire three years after you earn them — so an old chunk disappearing may be expiry doing what it says. On EEA accounts, as the July 2026 terms wave takes effect in your market (from 10 July in Iceland, from 19 July in the Netherlands), Revolut can also deduct points to offset a negative balance at up to €0.02 per point — details on the news log.
If none of these fit
If you've checked opt-in, settlement, eligibility, offer activation, the Uber payment method, Spare Change and expiry and the points still aren't there, contact Revolut support through the app — we're an independent site and can't see individual accounts. Have screenshots of the transaction and the offer you activated ready before you get in touch.
FAQ
How long do RevPoints take to appear?
Points typically appear once the card transaction settles rather than when you pay, which can take a few days. If it's been well beyond that, work through the checklist above.
Why didn't my Shops purchase earn the boosted rate?
The two usual reasons: the offer wasn't activated in the app before paying, or (for online offers) the purchase wasn't made through the app's link. Rates also change without notice — verify the current rate in-app.
Did Revolut take my points?
Check expiry first (three years from earning), then remember purchased points redeem first when you spend. On EEA accounts, as the July 2026 terms wave takes effect in your market, Revolut can deduct points to offset a negative account balance at up to €0.02 per point. UK accounts aren't subject to that rule.
