RevPoints basics

What are RevPoints?

RevPoints is Revolut's loyalty programme. UK personal customers who join can earn points through eligible card purchases and other activities shown in the app, then redeem them for options such as airline miles, hotel points, gift cards, Revolut Pay discounts, Stays, Experiences and selected extras.

Who can use RevPoints in the UK?

RevPoints is available through eligible Revolut personal accounts and must be activated before points can be earned or used. The app is the final check for availability on your account.

Is RevPoints free to join?

Revolut's UK terms say there is no fee for enrolling in RevPoints or holding points. A paid Revolut plan, buying points and some redemption activities can still involve separate prices or fees.

Where can I see my RevPoints balance?

Open RevPoints from the bottom menu in the Revolut app and tap your points balance. That is also where Revolut shows point activity and expiry information for your account.

How do I earn RevPoints?

Current UK routes include eligible Revolut debit-card purchases, selected Stays and Experiences bookings, eligible Shops purchases, Spare Change or direct point purchases, and Revolut Pay. The live app and the terms for each activity decide whether a transaction qualifies.

Which transactions do not earn RevPoints?

Major exclusions include cash-like and financial transactions, transfers and top-ups, tax and government payments, utilities, gambling, charities, education, rent and housing, parking, certain business services, Revolut Pro transactions, and purchases that are returned or cancelled.

What are the UK base earn rates by Revolut plan?

On eligible spend, Standard and Plus currently earn 1 RevPoint per £10, Premium 1 per £4, Metal 1 per £2 and Ultra 1 per £1. These are base rates; plan prices and other benefits are separate.

How do RevPoints Shops boosts work?

Open the merchant inside RevPoints Shops, activate the offer, follow its online or in-store instructions and pay with an allowed method. Offers, multipliers and eligibility can vary by account and change, so the merchant screen in your app takes precedence.

Value and redemptions

Do RevPoints have a fixed cash value?

No. Revolut says RevPoints have no fixed monetary value, and the exact discount or redemption value is shown in the app. Any pence-per-point figure on this site is an independent planning benchmark, not an official exchange rate.

Open the transparent value calculator

How much is one RevPoint worth?

There is no single answer. For planning, this site uses transparent examples such as 0.7p, 1p and 1.5p per point, then recommends calculating the cash saving after unavoidable fees for the exact redemption you can book.

How much are 10,000 RevPoints worth?

Using this site's planning benchmarks, 10,000 RevPoints represent about £70 at 0.7p each, £100 at 1p or £150 at 1.5p. The actual result can be lower or higher because RevPoints have no fixed monetary value.

Can I convert RevPoints to cash?

No. RevPoints cannot be exchanged for money or withdrawn to a bank balance. Cash-like alternatives include an eligible Revolut Pay discount or a gift card, with the exact value shown before redemption.

Transfers and travel

How many public UK RevPoints transfer programmes are there?

Revolut's public UK help directory listed 9 airline loyalty programmes and 5 hotel programmes when verified on 19 July 2026. Availability can differ by account, so check the providers shown in your app before planning a transfer.

See the dated partner directory

Do all RevPoints transfer at 1:1?

No. Airline transfers are described as up to 1:1 and several partners publish exact 1:1 rates, but partner-specific rates vary. Hotel programmes do not share one public rate; for example, ALL Accor publishes 2 RevPoints to 1 ALL Reward point.

Can I transfer RevPoints to Avios?

Yes. The public UK directory includes several Avios programmes, and British Airways, Iberia, Aer Lingus, Vueling and Qatar publish 1 RevPoint to 1 Avios. Confirm the provider and rate shown in your app before transferring.

Follow the British Airways transfer checks

How long do airline transfers take, and can they be reversed?

Revolut says transfers are usually quick but can take up to two working days depending on the partner. Airline-mile redemptions are final and cannot be reversed, so confirm availability, account names, rate and amount first.

Check the shared transfer rules

Expiry and account rules

Do RevPoints expire?

Yes. Each RevPoint is valid for three years from the date it is issued. Earning or spending other points does not restart that individual three-year clock.

See the exact redemption order

Which RevPoints are used first when I redeem?

Revolut generally redeems bought points first. If earned points will expire within the next three months, points are instead redeemed in expiry order so the nearer expiry is used first.

What happens to RevPoints if I close the account?

Unused RevPoints are voided when the RevPoints account is closed and cannot be recovered. The refund exception applies only if you close RevPoints within 14 days of first opening the RevPoints account, and only to bought points that remain unused.

Use the pre-closure checklist

Can I send RevPoints to a friend?

UK customers can ask Revolut Support to redeem points for another UK Revolut customer with an active RevPoints account. Revolut applies a 10% points fee, and the completed redemption is final and non-reversible.

Troubleshooting and comparisons

Why are my RevPoints not showing?

First confirm that RevPoints is active, the purchase is complete and the transaction category is eligible. For Shops, also check that the correct offer was activated and its timing and payment instructions were followed; then use in-app Support if the points still do not appear.

Run the missing-points checklist

Can my RevPoints balance become negative?

Yes. If an earning activity is reversed after its points were spent, Revolut can reverse those points and leave a negative balance. Current UK terms describe how the balance must be remedied and when Revolut may recover the shortfall.

See refund and reversal rules

Do the IHG × Revolut cards earn RevPoints?

No. The UK IHG × Revolut Essential and Elite cards earn IHG One Rewards points under a separate programme, not RevPoints. Their fees, earn rates and offer terms should be assessed separately.

Compare the IHG cards

Are RevPoints better than Amex Membership Rewards?

They are not like-for-like. RevPoints sit inside Revolut and depend on the Revolut plan and eligible debit-card activity; Membership Rewards come from eligible Amex credit cards. Compare net rewards after fees, acceptance, foreign-spend costs, protections and how you plan to redeem.
