Can you convert RevPoints to cash?

No. RevPoints are loyalty points, not money or currency, and they cannot be withdrawn to your bank balance.

Closest options: use an eligible Revolut Pay discount or a gift card at the value shown in the app. If the goal is helping another person, the UK now has a separate support-assisted friend redemption with a 10% points fee.

Cash-like alternatives, in order

Revolut Pay

At an eligible checkout, select a RevPoints discount and review the exact amount before approving. This reduces a purchase; it does not create withdrawable cash.

Gift cards

Choose an available brand and compare the face value with the points required. Selection and value are shown in your app.

Travel rewards

Airline miles, hotel points, Stays and Experiences may create more value, but they are less cash-like and carry their own availability and finality rules.

Using RevPoints for a friend in the UK

This is not a free self-serve points transfer. Revolut's current UK redemption help gives a support-assisted process:

  1. Open Help in the Revolut app and start a chat.
  2. Type “I wish to use RevPoints”.
  3. Provide the number of points and the recipient's Revtag.
  4. Confirm the 10% points fee and final redemption.

The recipient must be a UK-based Revolut customer with an active RevPoints account. Both people are notified when it completes.

Example: using 10,000 points for a friend also costs a 1,000-point fee.

RevPoints-to-cash questions

Can I withdraw RevPoints to my bank account?

No. RevPoints cannot be exchanged for money or withdrawn to a bank balance.

Can I sell RevPoints?

Revolut's terms do not treat RevPoints as money or a transferable market currency. Use only the redemption routes Revolut provides.

Can I use RevPoints for another person?

Yes, through UK in-app Support for another UK Revolut customer with an active RevPoints account. Revolut charges a 10% points fee, and the completed redemption is final.

What is the most cash-like RevPoints redemption?

An eligible Revolut Pay discount or a gift card is usually the closest because each reduces spending at a named checkout or merchant. Check the exact value in the app.

Do RevPoints have a fixed exchange rate to pounds?

No. Revolut says they have no fixed monetary value; the exact discount or redemption value appears for the selected option in the app.

What should I do before closing RevPoints?

Redeem any balance you want to keep before closure. Unused points are voided, except that unused bought points can be refunded only when RevPoints is closed within 14 days of first opening the RevPoints account.
